Perhaps some built in redundancy software in the new GH-4 game disk or the anti-copy protection software in the new game has made it too sensitive on the older consoles (ours is the slimline and is 2 years old now) This problem appears to be widespread and I certainly hope that people take the makers to task. After many hours of searching forums and other technical support it would appear that the only way this problem has been solved were those who suspected their console and purchased a new one. To eliminate our console as being the problem even though I doubted it would be we tried it in other friends ps2 consoles and it would still not work (both brand new GH-4 disks. Because our console works fine with 30+ other ps2 game titles that we would get another GH-4 game disk to try. Because ours was the bundle with all of the controllers we thought it was simply a case of a faulty game disk.
